This long and rich history of this textile can be appreciated in simply beholding its beauty. During the Mughal period in India, around the 14th century, artisans from Varanasi (a.k.a.  Banaras or Kashi)  became know for their unique and complicated hand-loomed silk brocades using the gold and silver zari threads. Our collection seeks to highlight the brilliance and intricacy of this luxurious hand-loomed fabric. We've added refined gold laces, raw and crepe silks to compliment and elevate the bold brocades that so inspire us.
